US-owned technology provider Kognitio, specialist in big data management and business analytics, commissioned Metro Broadcast to make a series of ten, short promotional videos. The video shorts, filmed presentation-to-camera style, were designed as an engaging way to describe the business’s complex data analysis software. These video shorts were three minutes in length and contained interviews with senior managers and an engaging company overview using footage filmed in the offices and data storage centre.
In order to shoot the material, Metro needed to consider Kognitio’s video, sound and lighting needs and create a suitable setting. A purpose-built area was created in the European HQ in Bracknell and it included a branded backdrop. The video footage was shot using an HD camera system accompanied by a sound recording kit. The area was lit using specialist Kino Flo and Dedo film lighting fixtures.
Metro Broadcast supplied a producer and director on site for the one day shoot. The videos were edited over an additional few days and an original soundtrack was created. A number of the videos appear on Kognitio’s website and others are used as content in various sales and corporate presentations.
