Matt Gibson Gets Set for Kent International Jamboree 2017.

From 29th July until 5th August, the County Show Ground in Kent plays host to the seven day international camp for Scouts and Guides from around the world.  A massive camping experience and activity playground is constructed for the event and Metro is delighted to provide media equipment and recycled staging materials for craft events.

Our very own Project Manager (and Scout) Matt Gibson will be acting as Head of Media for this year’s Kent International Jamboree.  Matt will set up three of Metro’s cameras and a green screen.  He will also install live-streaming encoders to stream the opening and closing ceremonies to social communities on Facebook and YouTube.

Looking forward to the event, Matt said, “I’ve enjoyed the event for many years as an attendee and as staff.  Now I get to experience it as crew.  It’s a great opportunity for young people to be adventurous and experience a whole range of activities.  It is a great initiative which Metro is proud to be involved with.”

The camp includes a main arena with stage, lots of activity hubs and sub-camps for kids from Africa, the Americas, Asia, Arabia and Europe.
