Story in Pictures: Going Floral For ITV Lorraine’s High Street Fashion Awards
This year’s event took place at London’s glamorous Connaught Rooms where our Project Manager Grant Mitchell worked with ITV’s production designers to install the staging, sound, lighting and AV for the star-studded event which was to run live to camera for broadcast on ITV Lorraine the following day. In tune with the latest high street trends, the theme was all things floral.
The set was covered with stunning floral vinyls with a high gloss finish to the catwalk, trimmed with faux grass and daisies. The stage needed to accommodate a lectern, seating for the judging panel and a central screen to display VTs.
With the loading in done early and the stage set, the crew is ready for the tech rehearsal.
With the show running live to camera, the staging, timing and production must be flawless and to television standard.
X Factor runners up Reggie & Bollie rehearse and get ready to perform their new single live to the glitterati of high street fashion who will later be greeted on a pink carpet and welcomed with champagne. Grant’s audio team provided hand held mics, wedge monitors and ear monitors for the performers to hear the backing track. Graphics were synchronised with the soundtrack and displayed on screens.
And, sure enough, the lovable duo did not disappoint.
Other guests included X Factor singer and star of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Jake Quickenden who performed with a guitar.
As the award show drew to a close, guests retired to the adjoining bar area where the party continued with DJ entertainment.
That’ll be another job well done, Grant!
